Randi Kenely, the owner of Auto Care by Kenely, is an ASE-certified master mechanic with more than 45 years of experience in auto repair -- hence, the slogan A Master's Garage.In fact, he earned a perfect score on the ASE Electrical Certification Test. Randi opened Auto Care by Kenely in 1982. In 1996, he purchased his present 13, 000 square foot facility and built a gleaming, state of the art, 23-bay garage, serving the communities of Orangevale, Fair Oaks, Folsom, and Citrus Heights. He has been a member of the Sacramento Chapter of the Automotive Service Councils ( ASC ) since 1984, and he has served as their President. Randi is happy to dispense free advice, and he will provide an estimate before any work is done, so that there will be no surprises in either the bill or the car.Before 1982, Randi was maintenance manager for Regional Transit buses. When I first arrived, the buses were breaking down on an average of every 1, 400 miles, Kenely said. Within a year, I improved that to an average of 3, 500 miles.His success earned him a key role in the Regional Transit Light-Rail Implementation. Randi has always loved to fix things -- and when he found he was getting more satisfaction from repairing cars nights and weekends in his part-time business, he decided to go full-time.
