Rob's Automotive in El Cerrito, CA

Rob's Automotive is named after its owner, Robert Belshe, who's been working at the site since the 1970s, when it was a Chevron gas station with a staff of 13 workers. He entered a partnership to operate the gas station from 1982 until 1997, when he took it over and converted it into an auto repair shop. And, judging by the word-of-mouth referrals and Belshe's reputation for quality service at an affordable price, business is very, very good—no less than a dozen or so cars are usually on the lot at any one time, waiting to be serviced.
