Richter's Tire & Auto Service in Ridgewood, NJ

In 1926, the gas station that was to become Richter's opened under the name "The Gas Station of Distinction." In 1935, then owner Captain Phillip W. Reeves, a Merchant Marine, leased the address on South Maple Avenue that is today Richter's Professional Tire & Auto Service.

Polly and Paul Rennie have owned the shop since 1978. The shop stopped selling gasoline in 1988 and has dealt solely in automotive service ever since. Richter's provides Factory Authorized Maintenance services as well as tires and repairs.
